Katherine Tobin

Katherine Tobin has a diverse range of work experience. Their most recent position is as a Content Manager at Atom Learning, where they started in March 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Editor at IMPAKTER from October 2019 to March 2021. In this role, they managed a team of writers, researched company sustainability policies, and developed content and social media strategies.

Before joining IMPAKTER, Katherine had a variety of internships and work experiences. Katherine was an Editorial and Fashion Intern at The Telegraph in September and October 2019, where they wrote copy, researched for the fashion department, and assisted with styling for photoshoots. Katherine also gained media work experience at Taskcape Media in July 2019, where they assisted with a video project, conducted research, and worked on site with the film crew.

In June 2019, Katherine worked as an Editorial and Fashion Intern at the Sunday Times, where they researched book recommendations, transcribed interviews, and assisted in the fashion department. Katherine also had a Communications Internship at the Smithsonian Institution from February to May 2018, where they wrote and edited social media posts and collected analytics data.

In 2014, Katherine gained legal work experience as a Solicitors Work Experience at Swain & Co Solicitors, where they typed up case sheets, analyzed witness interviews, and observed court cases. Katherine also had a Barrister Work Experience at Pump Court Chambers in 2013, where they shadowed a defense barrister and observed court hearings.

Additionally, Katherine had editorial work experience at Liz Earle Wellbeing in 2014, where they wrote articles for the website and magazine. Katherine also had political work experience at the Portsmouth Conservative Constituency Office in 2013, where they assisted in client cases, typed letters, and updated spreadsheets.

Katherine Tobin completed their primary education at Portsmouth Grammar School. Katherine then pursued their higher education, starting in the year 2015 and ending in 2019, at The University of Edinburgh. Katherine earned a degree in History and Politics, specifically an MA (Hons) in History and Politics. Additionally, Katherine Tobin spent a year of their education, from 2017 to 2018, at The George Washington University where they focused on History and Politics.
