Robert Stephenson began their work experience in 1997 as a European Community Research Fellow at imec. From 1999 to 2001, they worked at Bookham in various roles such as development engineer, project manager, and application engineer. Following that, they served as the Acting VP Science and Engineering at Nanovis, LLC from 2001 to 2003. From 2003 to 2016, they worked at Mears Technologies, Inc as a Principal Engineer, where they were responsible for hardware implementation of novel electronic materials and out-sourced analytical measurements for material and device characterisation. Currently, they are employed as a Principal Engineer at Atomera since 2016.
Robert Stephenson attended the University of Alberta from 1986 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Following this, they pursued a PhD at the University of Cambridge from 1991 to 1995, specializing in Engineering.
