Mark Abbott has been working in the professional world since 1994. Mark'sfirst job was as a Service Manager at Digital Minds, Inc. in 1994. Mark then moved to Cybernet Systems, Inc. in 1995, where they served as a Senior Solutions Integrator. In 2000, they moved to WAM!NET, Inc. as a Professional Services Integrator. In 2001, they became the Owner of Abbott Systems, Inc. In 2003, they were appointed Governor of The Foundation. In 2005, they began working at the University of Minnesota Office of Business Development as a Summer Associate and Student Director. In 2006, they returned to The Foundation as the Chief Technology Officer and Technologist. In 2007, they moved to Atomic Data, where they served as Compliance and Information Security Architect, Chief Legal Officer, CIO, and Director of Special Projects. In 2009, they became the Owner of U4EA Studios.

Mark Abbott completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Macalester College from 1991 to 1996. Mark then attended the University of Minnesota Law School from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a JD in Intellectual Property and Corporate Law. Mark also attended the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management from 2004 to 2006, earning an MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Finance. Mark also earned a JD/MBA from the University of Minnesota, with a focus on Corporate and Intellectual Property Law, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship.
