Tim Grosshuesch has worked in a number of roles throughout their career. In 2000, they began as a News Editor/Reporter for the UMD Statesman. Two years later, they became an Operations Analyst Consultant for Target Corporation. In 2004, they took on a Help Desk Specialist role for Great Clips, Inc. In 2007, they became a Network Engineer for IVDesk, where they were responsible for handling day to day operations of networking infrastructure. In 2010, they began working for Atomic Data as an Architect and Manager of Product Operations, Systems Architect, Sr. Virtualization/Storage Engineer, and Virtualization/Storage Engineer.

Tim Grosshuesch received their BA in English and Communication from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2003. Tim then obtained a Cisco CCNA certification in January 2009, a VMware Certified Professional 4/5/6 - Data Center Virtualization certification in May 2010, a NetApp Certified Data Management Administrator 7-mode and NetApp Certified SAN Implementation Engineer 7-mode certification in November 2012, and a VMware Certified Advanced Professional 5 - Data Center Design certification in November 2014. Most recently, they obtained a Veeam Certified Engineer 2020 certification in September 2020.
