Joonho Kim

Joonho Kim is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Atomic Industries since October 2023. Previously, Joonho held the position of Research Engineer at Rigetti Computing from September 2022 to October 2023, focusing on optimizing near-term quantum algorithms through error-mitigation techniques. Prior experience includes a role as Research Engineer at Helm.ai, where Joonho conducted mathematical modeling and deep learning research for perception and autonomous driving tasks, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Advanced Study, engaged in research on quantum field theory and variational quantum algorithms. Joonho also served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Korea Institute for Advanced Study, concentrating on string theory, quantum field theory, and mathematical physics. Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Physics from Seoul National University and a B.Sc. in Physics from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, along with a High School Diploma from Gyeonggi Science High School for the Gifted.
