Lydia Cho's background is in classical violin and education. She has both a Master's in Violin Performance from Northwestern University and Education at Harvard University. As a violinist, she wanted to refine techniques and present the best possible product to the audience. From this pursuit, she discovered the science of learning which challenged me to question her process. During her Master's in Education, her professor Karen Brennan introduced me to Scratch, a programming language for kids. From there the questions and demand for more creative solutions that children do so easily motivated me to dive deeper into Computer Science. She went on to complete a Software Engineering course at the Flatiron School, which confirmed that this field was the amalgamation of everything she wanted.
