Peter Shpik

Peter Shpik is an experienced professional in aerospace materials and composite engineering, currently serving as an Industry Consultant at Atomic-6 since March 2021. With extensive expertise, Peter has been the Director of Technical Services at Alpine Advanced Materials since February 2018, focusing on unique materials for commercial aviation and military applications. Previously, Peter held notable positions including Director of Technical Services at Teijin Carbon America, Inc., and VP Engineering at Georgia Aerospace Systems, where contributions included defining composite manufacturing processes and R&D on carbon nano-fibers. Peter's career also includes significant roles at GKN Aerospace, where management of innovative projects led to major cost reductions and recognition through the GKN Technology Innovation award, as well as various engineering positions at AAR Corp., United Technologies, Olin Corporation, and Southern Engineering Corporation. Peter holds degrees in Engineering Mechanics of Materials and an Associate of Science in Engineering.
