Akshay Sonandkar

Akshay Sonandkar is an experienced engineer with a strong background in robotics and mechanical design, holding a B.E. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. As a founding engineer at Morphle Labs Inc., Akshay contributed to the development of an AI-enabled microscope slide scanner, which has been deployed globally, generating over 5 million scans. At Atomionics, Akshay has held multiple roles including Senior Engineer (Project Lead) and Senior Engineer (Systems), leading significant projects such as the development of a fast data acquisition system for quantum gravimetry and the design of a compact mobile quantum gravimeter. Additionally, Akshay co-founded Crosscharge Technologies Pvt. Ltd., where an innovative proximity tag was designed five years prior to Apple's similar product launch. Prior experience includes a successful internship at Carborundum Universal Limited, where packing efficiency was improved.
