Chris Tomkins has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Starting in 1995, they worked as a Designer and Video Producer at Monash University, where they were involved in graphic design and television production. From 1997 to 2002, they served as a Producer, Director, Editor, and Graphic Designer at Australian Business Theatre, working on corporate video production for various clients. In 2001, they began freelance work as a Colourist, Motion Graphics Designer, and After Effects specialist. In 2004, they joined Ready to Roll as a Creative Director, Director, and Editor. In 2011, they transitioned to Octopod Films, where they worked as a Director, VFX Artist, Motion Graphics Designer, and Colourist, primarily focusing on short films, music videos, and TV series development. Most recently, starting in 2022, they joined ATOMOS as a Post Production Specialist, specializing in 3D and 2D Motion Design.

Chris Tomkins attended Melbourne High School from 1987 to 1990. After completing high school, they enrolled at Monash University and pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Television/Psychology from 1991 to 1997. In 2011, they briefly attended New York University to study Cinematography. In 2019, Chris began studying Psychology/Data Analytics at Deakin University, where they are currently enrolled. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Service Design Elevate from Academy Xi in October 2020 and Digital Marketing Online Elevate from the same institution in May 2020.
