Francois Vanderbeck started their career as a University Lecturer at the University of Cambridge from September 1994 to August 1998. Francois then joined the Université de Bordeaux as a Senior Professor in September 1998 and held this position until February 2019. In September 2008, Vanderbeck became a Team Leader for the RealOpt project at Inria, where they worked until November 2018. In 2010, they served as Vice-President of the ROADEF - French Operations Research & Decision Support Society. In February 2019, Vanderbeck co-founded Atoptima and currently holds the role of CEO & co-founder. At Atoptima, they are involved in designing and developing cutting-edge Software-As-A-Service applications for resource assignment optimization.
Francois Vanderbeck has a strong educational background, with a focus on Operations Research. In 1984, they began their academic journey at the Université catholique de Louvain, where they pursued an Engineering Degree in Applied Mathematics. This program lasted for five years, ending in 1989.
