James Alexander has over two decades of experience in various engineering roles. James began their career at Visteon Corporation as a Product Engineer, where they focused on finding and implementing cost-effective materials for ignition coils. James then worked at RFA Minnesota Engineering as a Mechanical Design Engineer before joining Medtronic as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. At Medtronic, they led the technical development of surgical tools and neurological lead adapters, acquiring multiple patents. James later worked at American Medical Systems as a Principal Mechanical Engineer, where they oversaw the technical work on projects and implemented a requirements development software tool. Alexander continued their career at Sensata Technologies as a Principal Mechanical Engineer, serving as the technical lead on customer-funded and internal projects. James then transitioned to MIVI Neuroscience, Inc as an R&D Engineer, leading product development for three projects. In their most recent role, Alexander joined AtriCure, Inc. as a Principal System Engineer. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in prototype development, cost optimization, usability assessments, and regulatory compliance.
James Alexander received their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. James continued their education by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, where they studied from 2000 to 2002.
