Sam Privitera

Sam Privitera is the current Chief Technology Officer at AtriCure. Sam has held this position since 2012. Prior to that, they were the VP Research, Engineering, IP and Business Development at AtriCure from 2003-2012. Sam was also the Group Director, R&D at Ethicon Endo-Surgery from 1990-2003. Sam started their engineering career as a Plastics Engineer at Fisher Price from 1988-1990.

Sam Privitera has a J.D. from Northern Kentucky University—Salmon P. Chase College of Law, and an M.B.A. in marketing from Xavier University. Sam also has a BS in mechanical engineering from the University at Buffalo.

Sam Privitera reports to Michael H. Carrel, President & CEO. They are on a team with Douglas J. Seith - Chief Operating Officer, Tonya Austin - CHRO, and Justin Noznesky - Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer.
