Michael Schmidt has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Michael is currently working as a Principal Engineer at ATS Automation since the year 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at Kinectrics, where they worked as a Senior Engineer in the Forensics and Component Services department and later in the Inspection & Maintenance Systems department. In these roles, they were involved in designing, testing, and deploying custom non-destructive evaluation (NDE) tooling projects for the nuclear industry. Michael also supported inspection campaigns at the vendor's site. Before joining Kinectrics, Michael worked as a Project Manager at Queen's University in 2006 and as an Engineering Student at Nuclear Safety Solutions in the same year. Michael also gained engineering experience as an Engineering Student at Arriscraft International in 2005 and 2004.
Michael Schmidt earned a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Queen's University from 2003 to 2007. Michael also attended St. John's Kilmarnock, although there is no information regarding degree or field of study.
