Bill Mertka is an experienced technology and product management professional with a strong background in public safety and emergency communications systems. Currently serving as Principal Architect at AT&T, Bill Mertka manages technology and project deployment for NG9-1-1 Core Services. Previously held positions include Director of Technology Strategy at Synergem Technologies, Manager of NG9-1-1 Product Management at Verizon, and roles at ServerCentral, Huawei Technologies, Motorola Solutions, RedSky Technologies, Apropos Technology, Ellacoya Networks, and Nortel Networks. Bill Mertka's educational background includes a Master’s degree in International Affairs/Business from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
