Bill Ryan

Bill Ryan is a seasoned legal and compliance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at AT&T since January 2006, Bill has also held the position of Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel within the same company. Prior to AT&T, Bill was Deputy General Counsel at DIRECTV from January 2006 to July 2015 and served as Board Chair for VALOR ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL between 2007 and 2011. His board experience includes a role as Board Member/Advisor for the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation from 2014 to 2020. Bill’s early career included work as an Associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and as a Teacher for the Oakland Unified School District. Bill holds a JD from Boston College Law School and a BSFS in International Relations from Georgetown University.
