Carrie Johnson is an experienced professional in strategy and policy, currently serving as Director of Strategy & Policy for Rural & Tribal Affairs at AT&T since July 2017. In this role, Carrie supports the expansion of the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network (FirstNet), contributing to the deployment of over 1,000 cell towers in high-priority public safety areas. Prior to this, Carrie held various positions, including Manager of Strategy & Policy for FirstNet and Lead Market Development Manager at SDN Communications. Carrie’s background also includes legislative roles in the U.S. Senate and experience in government relations. Carrie earned an MBA from The Johns Hopkins University and holds a double major in Law and Society and Interdisciplinary Studies from American University, as well as a certificate in Cybersecurity & Privacy Law from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
