James Pate is a Principal Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Labs. They started their career at BellSouth Telecommunications as a Member Technical Staff from 2001 to 2007. After a brief tenure as a Contractor - Engineer at AT&T from 2009 to 2011, they advanced to the role of Sr. Member Technical Staff. Currently, James serves as an Engineering Consultant specializing in Video and Converged Services at AT&T Labs since 2009. They earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University between 1983 and 1987.
