Sam Byker has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Sam is currently the Founder and CEO of Atticus, a company they started in 2017. Prior to that, they worked at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP as a Summer Associate in 2015. Sam also served as a Summer Fellow for the Office of the Attorney General of California in 2014, focusing on Criminal Justice Reform. Sam worked at The Boston Consulting Group as a Consultant from 2012 to 2013 and as an Associate from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, they briefly worked as a Field Organizer for Obama for America. Earlier in their career, they gained experience in the media industry as an Editorial Assistant and Freelance Writer for the Los Angeles Times in 2007. Sam also worked as a Server at Panda Express in 2006.

Sam Byker attended Brown University from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a bachelor's degree in Economics and American History. From 2013 to 2017, they attended Stanford Law School, where they earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Additionally, during the same period from 2015 to 2017, they also attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree.
