Richard Root has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Richard started their career in 1995 as a News Anchor/Reporter at WGR 55, where they managed the newsroom, provided IT support, and reported on the news. In 1999, they moved to Shea's Performing Arts Center as a Graphic Designer, Website Manager, and Marketing Associate, developing creative collateral, managing the website, and nurturing organizational branding. In 2014, they became the Chief Information Officer at MatchMyWork.com, where they developed the website from scratch. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Entercom Buffalo as a Writer/Producer/On-Air Talent, responsible for editorial decision-making, scriptwriting, social media content creation, and research. From 2006 to 2018, Richard worked at Imagination Graphics and Sound as a Digital Content Developer and Strategist, specializing in branding and identity development. In 2018, they joined ATTO Technology, Inc. as a Senior Content Strategist, where they create and manages content for various communication channels and has successfully improved performance on Google Ads.

Richard Root obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University at Buffalo, where they studied from 1994 to 1997.
