Roderick Marstell is a seasoned research scientist currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Attollo Engineering since August 2025. Prior to this role, Roderick worked at Maxeon Solar Technologies as a Senior Staff R&D Engineer from May 2022 to June 2025, focusing on the development of new solar cell architectures and PECVD thin films. Roderick also held the position of Thin Film R&D Engineer at SunPower Corporation from September 2018 to May 2022. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Lehigh University, completed in August 2018, where Roderick's research centered on the interfacial electronic properties of semiconductor/ALD-deposited oxide interfaces. Additionally, Roderick earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Materials Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo between 2008 and 2013, and gained early experience as a Design Engineering Intern at OneMillionLights.
