John Steenson

John Steenson's work experience begins in 2007 when they worked as a Student Computer Programmer at Magdalena Ridge Observatory. During this time, they researched and implemented various projects for project scientists, including developing a Python module for querying values from hardware and creating a PyGTK GUI.

In 2011, John became a Contract Support Engineer at Intersoft Inc., where they worked on-site at a client's office. John'sresponsibilities included performing configuration requests, assisting software development engineers, and writing documentation to ensure the smooth operation of a global corporate network.

Later in 2011, John joined Amazon as a Support Engineer. John handled operational work for Software Development Engineers and coordinated with the operations manager at different sites. John was also part of an on-call rotation to assist in urgent issues within a global network.

In 2014, John transitioned to the role of a Software Development Engineer at Amazon. John'sresponsibilities included creating mobile and web applications to save time and reduce operational burden in fulfillment centers. John gathered requirements, designed software based on feedback, and developed and maintained a Java service-oriented stack for interfacing with web and mobile devices.

From 2015 to 2019, John worked as a Software Development Engineer at Expedia, Inc. John focused on software development and contributed to various projects.

In 2020, John became a Software Engineer at Collinear Group. John held this position until 2020 and gained valuable experience in this role.

Currently, John Steenson is working as a Senior Software Engineer at Attune since March 2021.

John Steenson attended the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology from 2006 to 2010. John earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics.
