James Seigel

James Seigel has a wide range of work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. James co-founded and worked as the CTO of atVenu since 2012. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant at James Seigel Consulting and 33Across Inc. (Formerly Tynt) in 2011, where they built systems for large scale data handling and provided guidance in infrastructure and development. James also worked as a Senior Developer/Consultant at Kudos Inc. in 2011. Before that, they held the role of Software Engineering Manager at Tynt Multimedia from 2007 to 2011, where they created systems and teams to handle high volumes of data. James also worked as a Senior Developer/Team Lead at Avocent from 2005 to 2007, where they managed and mentored a multi-platform team. Prior to that, they served as a Systems Engineer at Wireless Matrix from 2003 to 2005. James held the role of VP Development at RealObjectives Inc. from 2000 to 2003, and as a Residence Coordinator at Queen's University from 1999 to 2001. James began their career as the Director of Development at Esponsive Communications from 1996 to 2000. Overall, James has a strong background in technology, consulting, and management roles.

James Seigel received their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. James then pursued further education at Queen's University and obtained a Master of Science degree in Engineering from 1994 to 1996. Additionally, in March 2019, James Seigel obtained a certification as a Schulich Engineering Cafe Alumni Volunteer from Ten Thousand Coffees.
