David Caffrey is an experienced designer with a robust background in automotive and product design. Caffrey started as a Freelance Product Designer at Lynch Design in 1996 and later served as a Part-Time Automotive Design lecturer at Coventry University from 1998 to 1999. Caffrey gained significant experience at the VW Design Center California as Assistant Exterior Chief Designer from 2010 to 2013. Currently, Caffrey is the Exterior Design Manager and Team Leader at AUDI AG, a position held since February 2000, having progressed from Interior Designer to Exterior Designer during this tenure. Caffrey holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Product Design from the University of Ulster, a Master's degree in Automotive Design from Coventry University, a Diploma in Industrial Design from Sligo Regional Technical College, and a Certificate in Art and Design from Ballyfermot Senior College.
