Franz Hofmann is a co-founder and CEO of Aerofoils GmbH, leading the development of electric hydrofoils and innovative product categories since September 2017. With a background in financial advisory and engineering at AUDI AG, Hofmann has been instrumental in establishing brand partnerships and managing development costs while also overseeing the design of hydrogen storage systems. Previous experience includes project management and development roles at REHAU and Aerofoils Munich, where key contributions involved the creation of hydrogen pressure vessels and electric hydrofoil concepts. Hofmann holds a Master of Engineering in Composites, Robotics, and Technology Management from Technische Hochschule Augsburg, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering and Mechatronics from Hochschule Hof.
