Robert Sterner

Robert Sterner serves as the Head of Trademark and Design Law at AUDI AG since June 2012, overseeing global trademark and design law matters including prosecution, licensing, enforcement, and litigation. Prior to this role, Robert was the Head of Global Trademark and Design Enforcement. Robert's experience in intellectual property law began during tenure as Senior Legal Counsel at Audi China from October 2011 to May 2012, where responsibilities included advising the President and assessing the IP landscape in China. Earlier positions at AUDI AG from January 2000 to September 2011 involved roles as Legal Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel, focusing on various legal areas with a shift towards intellectual property from 2007. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws in Information Law from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, as well as legal credentials obtained from higher regional courts and universities in Germany and Ireland.
