Thomas Hambrecht

Thomas Hambrecht serves as the Head of Development Body Structure System at AUDI AG since May 2007, overseeing multi-material body design and structural simulation across all car lines, alongside exterior pre-development. Hambrecht's expertise further encompasses roles such as Head of HV Storage Systems for PHEV and Head of Body in White Development, playing a critical role in the Audi etron and other battery electric vehicles. Prior positions include leadership in functional design and simulation for various platforms, including MLB and lightweight structures for models such as the Q7, A8, and R8. Previously, Hambrecht worked at IVM Automotive and TECOSIM Group, specializing in simulation and engineering. Thomas Hambrecht is a graduate of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, holding a Diplom-Ingenieur in Civil Engineering.
