Matt Smith

Matt Smith has been working in the industry since 1997. Matt started their career at Koch Industries as an Engineering Technician, where they were involved in automating and starting up plants, and upgrading old panel mounted control systems to 4000 point DCS and Safety systems. In 2000, they moved to Seimens as a Project Manager. From 2002 to 2004, they worked at Key Controls (Emerson LBP) as an Engineering and Sales Manager, where they managed engineering staff and sold computer based control (DCS), engineering services, Fisher valves, Rosemount instrumentation and other technical services. From 2004 to 2011, they worked at Control Southern as an Account Manager, where they managed and sold business results with DeltaV, engineering services, Fisher valves, Emerson instrumentation and other technical services. From 2011 to 2014, they were the Global Director of Channel Development and Excellence at Honeywell Process Solutions, where they led a global team of people that developed, managed, and supported a global ecosystem of channel partners. Since 2019, they have been a Director At Large at The MCAA - Measurement, Control & Automation Association. Since 2022, they have been Co-Chief Executive Officer at both DA Mid South Integrated Security Solutions Since 1978 and Audio Visual Technologies Group, Inc.

Matt Smith attended Louisiana Tech University.
