Amrita Garg has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and protocol engineering. Amrita started their career as a Trainee at HCL Technologies in 2000, where they worked on the simulation of MTP3. Amrita then joined C-Dot as a Research Engineer in 2001, where they worked until 2004. Amrita then worked at Wipro Technologies as a Project Leader from 2004 to 2006, focusing on M3UA Sigtran layer testing and SUA Sigtran layer enhancement. Amrita then joined Anite Telecoms as a Protocol Engineer from 2006 to 2007, where they developed OMA conformance test cases and enhanced the Conformance toolset. Currently, they are working at AudioCodes as a Software Engineer since 2008.

Amrita Garg attended Hindu College, Delhi University from 1995 to 1998, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in Mathematics. Following this, from 1998 to 2001, they pursued a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree in Software from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology.
