TJ Snyman

TJ Snyman has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. TJ has founded and served in leadership roles in various companies in the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) industry.

In 1994, they started their career as a Senior Software Developer at Electronic Data Systems and later advanced to the role of Senior Product Development Manager at Engineering Animation Inc. In this role, they oversaw the development and client interactions for the "Virtual Factory" initiative, which aimed to create a computerized environment for manufacturing plant design and simulation.

TJ then transitioned into a business development role at Electronic Data Systems, focusing on technical sales for automotive clients such as Ford Motor Company and Daimler-Chrysler. TJ continued their work in business development at UGS, where they served as an Account Executive dedicated to Ford Motor Company, pursuing enterprise-wide software and service opportunities as part of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiative.

In 2007, Snyman founded eCompliance, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform specifically designed for OHS professionals and workers. TJ was actively involved in every aspect of the business, initially focusing on architecture and development and later validating ideas and concepts with clients at the boardroom level.

In 2012, Snyman founded Snyman Ventures Inc., and in 2016, they went on to establish SafetyVantage Inc., both focusing on empowering customers to meet and exceed their OHS training requirements through online training and technology-driven solutions.

Currently, Snyman serves as the Founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of AuditSoft Inc., the leading provider of OHS auditing software. AuditSoft partners with associations and certifying bodies to offer cutting-edge auditing tools and valuable audit insights to their members, aiming to go beyond compliance.

TJ Snyman's education history is as follows:

TJ Snyman pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stellenbosch University from 1989 to 1992. Following that, they obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering from Stellenbosch University, studying from 1993 to 1996. Later, they attended Iowa State University - Ivy College of Business, where they earned an MBA degree in Finance between 1997 and 1999. Furthermore, TJ Snyman obtained a Professional Industrial Engineer degree from the Iowa Professional Engineering Board, completing the program from 2000 to 2017.

In addition to their academic qualifications, TJ Snyman also holds a certification in "The Practice of Coaching: An Introduction to Positioning Others" from Roy Group, which they earned in September 2016.
