Steve Hall became the Commissioner of the AUDL in October of 2018. He is currently serving his first 3-year term.
Steve Hall started playing Ultimate in 1985 at Georgia Tech and is a Life Member of USA Ultimate. Most of his Ultimate career has been at a recreational level although he did participate one season with a Denver-based team, DUI. He has enjoyed teaching his son’s high school team and supporting the YCC team in Charlotte.
Steve is the Managing Partner of EHF Capital, LLC and a Co-Owner of the Atlanta Hustle, one of the professional Ultimate disc teams in the AUDL. Steve is based in Charlotte, NC and formed EHF Capital in 2011 to invest part of his family’s portfolio in advanced composite and specialty chemical companies. Prior to EHF Capital, Steve was the Director of Investor Relations of Conversus Capital, the largest publicly traded portfolio of private equity funds with over $2.5 billion in assets under management.
Before moving to Charlotte in 2009, Steve and his family lived in New York. During that time, he was a Managing Director in Institutional sales for Citi Alternative Investments and a Vice President for Goldman Sachs in the Investment Management and Fixed Income divisions. Steve also spent three years with ING Investment Management where he assisted in the management of the fixed income portfolios of several insurance lines.
Steve received his MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in 1993 and his Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1988.
