Amit Thakur

Amit Thakur is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital raising. Currently serving as Managing Partner at Amax Capital since 2018, Amit focuses on independent financial advisory for mid-market transactions with particular emphasis on cross-border linkages. As Co-Founder, CEO, and CFO of AugieApp since 2021, Amit leverages AI technology to democratize access to financial services through a unique payment platform. Prior roles include Head of US M&A at Standard Chartered Bank, where Amit established the US M&A business and managed significant client relationships, and Executive Director at Morgan Stanley, leading the Financial Institutions practice in India during a challenging financial climate. Amit's foundation in finance was built at ICICI Securities and Standard Chartered, with earlier academic achievements including an MBA in Finance and Marketing from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
