Vinay Perneti

Vinay Perneti is a seasoned technology leader currently serving as the VP of Engineering, Product & Research at Augment, where the focus is on developing an AI Coding Assistant for large codebases. Prior to this role, Vinay was the Head of Observability Platforms at Meta, ensuring the reliability of services used by millions. Vinay's experience also includes significant contributions at Pure Storage as Director of Engineering for the FlashBlade organization, where team size grew from 40 to over 120 engineers, and as Engineering Manager for FlashArray. Earlier in the career, Vinay held a Tech Lead Manager position at Riverbed Technology, contributing to the Steelhead and Interceptor product line. Vinay holds a Master of Science degree in filesystems and networking from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications from Anna University Chennai.
