Dan Regelman has a diverse work experience. Dan started their career in 2001 at a large R&D organization, where they worked as a Program Manager, Physics Scientist, and Chief Laser Systems Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for managing, designing, and developing cutting-edge electro-optical and laser-based systems. Dan'sexpertise includes systems engineering, optical design, lasers, opto-mechanics, tracking systems, sensor design, field tests, system simulations, and algorithm development.
In 2005, Dan founded BacterioScan Inc., a medical device company focused on developing innovative products for clinical and general microbiology markets. Dan served as the Founder, Technology Inventor, and former CTO. Under their leadership, the company developed FDA-cleared rapid bacteria screening devices and high sensitivity bacterial growth quantification instruments.
In 2007, Dan also taught academic-level courses as a Lecturer, covering topics such as Optical Design and Introductory Electro-Optics.
In 2011, they joined Technion - Israel Institute of Technology as an Adjoint faculty member, where they served until 2015.
In 2017, Dan founded Augmentiqs, a company that developed a complete digital pathology platform. The platform includes a digital module compatible with standard microscopes, allowing for tissue imaging, analysis, and augmented reality overlay on the optical image. Augmentiqs aims to provide affordable access to high-quality medical tools for doctors in remote and developing areas of the world.
Throughout their career, Dan has demonstrated a strong background in physics, engineering, and entrepreneurship.
Dan Regelman completed their education at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. From 1999 to 2001, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Experimental Physics. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Applied Physics from the same institution during the years 1997-1998. Dan'sundergraduate studies were also completed at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Physics from 1994 to 1996. No information is available regarding their schooling prior to attending the Technion.
