David Hayden is an accomplished consultant and research scientist with extensive experience in AI and computer science. Currently serving as a consultant at Augmodo since June 2024, David leads initiatives on foundation models for wearable Spatial AI in retail. Since November 2021, David has also been a research scientist at Cruise, focusing on Perception AI Research and developing innovative diffusion guidance techniques, with findings published in ICML '25. Previous consultancy roles include work at Teton Ridge, where David developed real-time multi-object tracking systems for championship barrel racing, and at Companion, where systems for canine health applications were created. David began their career with a research internship at Google, contributing to deep learning projects for stereo 3D content creation. Educationally, David holds a PhD and an MS in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
