Michael Schmidt

Michael Schmidt is an experienced professional specializing in information security and service management. With a robust background that includes working as a Research Assistant and later as Head of Service Management at the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre, Michael played a pivotal role in the implementation of integrated management systems certified under ISO standards. Currently serving as Chief Information Security Officer at AUMA Group, Michael also engages in freelance consulting as an Information Security Auditor. Previous experience includes positions at OPTIMA Business Information Technology GmbH, IBM, and participation in several European GÉANT projects focusing on trust, identity, and security management. Michael holds a Dr. rer. nat. in Informatics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
