Andrew Wright has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Andrew is currently the Head of Marketing at Auquan, a position they started in January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Strategic Content at Snyk from February to October 2022. From December 2020 to February 2022, they served as the Chief Evangelist, Cloud Security, and later as the VP of Marketing + Communications at Fugue, Inc. During their time at Fugue, they played a key role in the pre-launch and acquisition of the company. Andrew also co-founded the company in 2012 and was involved in all aspects of fundraising and GTM strategy.
Before their involvement with Fugue, Andrew held the position of Director at DC Advocates for the Arts from January 2010 to December 2013. Prior to that, they founded and served as the CEO of Grasshop, a SaaS product aimed at empowering membership and advocacy organizations through grassroots public affairs tools and social media. Additionally, Andrew worked as a Consultant at Expert Choice, Inc., assisting in product marketing and content strategy.
Early in their career, Andrew co-founded and became a partner at WSW Partners, Inc. from October 2005 to 2009. Andrew also gained experience in the communications and public relations field as an Account Supervisor at Fleishman Hillard International Communications from August 2000 to October 2002, and as an Account Manager at The Direct Impact Company from December 1996 to August 2000.
Andrew Wright earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science & History from Radford University, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Andrew later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship in Technology Innovation at The George Washington University School of Business from 2005 to 2007.
