James Tomson

James Tomson has extensive work experience in the technology industry. James most recently served as VP, Platform Engineering at Aura Home, Inc. from July 2016 to the present. Prior to that, they worked as a Mobile Architect at Medidata Solutions from November 2013 to July 2016. James also held positions at Blackboard Collaborate as a Senior Architect from August 2012 to November 2013, and as a Senior Development Manager from August 2010 to October 2012. James worked at Wimba as a Director of Development from January 2009 to September 2010, an Associate Director of Development from January 2008 to December 2008, and as a Senior Software Engineer from December 2005 to December 2007. Before that, they served as a Software Engineer at Ceelox from April 2005 to October 2005, and as a Software Engineer/Consultant at Verizon Data Services from December 2004 to March 2005, and at L-3 Communications from March 2004 to November 2004. James also co-founded Blink Engineering Corp., where they worked as Chief Engineer and Co-Founder from September 2002 to February 2004. James began their career as an Associate Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin from July 2001 to July 2002 and as a Software Engineering Intern at Kodak from June 2000 to August 2000.

James Tomson earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Rochester. James attended the university from 1996 to 2001.
