Derek Pavao

Derek Pavao is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in developing and leading engineering teams, particularly in creating microservices architectures and user interfaces. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Aura since June 2016, Derek focuses on the Identity Guard identity theft protection platform, utilizing technologies such as NodeJS, AWS Lambda, and Terraform. Previously, Derek held positions as a Lead UI Engineer at Aura, a Software Engineer at UDPlatforms Inc., and a Senior UI Engineer at Next Step Living, where leadership and cutting-edge technology implementation were paramount. Earlier roles included UI Engineer/Web Developer at Astonish, Drupal Module Developer at The Yankee Retail Company, and as a web developer intern at Skycore LLC. Derek's educational background includes studies at the New England Institute of Technology and a B.A. in Early American History from Rhode Island College.
