Alan McFadyen

Alan McFadyen serves as the Technical Director for Major Projects at Aurecon since January 2023, leading significant projects with capital costs exceeding $250 million and managing over 40 project reports focused on safety, cost, value, and performance. Previously, Alan held the position of Head of Customer and Operational Intelligence at Urban Utilities, where responsibilities included leading operational technology teams, developing digital strategies, and managing executive-level stakeholders. A career at BHP saw Alan undertake various roles, from Strategy and Performance Consultant to Delivery Manager, and participate in high-value projects with a strong emphasis on technology and operational improvement. As an entrepreneur, Alan founded BitWinder, developing innovative AI solutions for project management. With a robust educational background including an MBA from AGSM @ UNSW and engineering degrees from prominent institutions, Alan brings extensive expertise in project management, digital transformation, and technology strategy.
