Chao Yang

Chao (Charles) Yang is an experienced geotechnical engineer currently serving as an Associate Geotechnical Engineer at Aurecon since January 2023. Prior to this role, Chao Yang held various positions at WSP in Australia from September 2017 to January 2023, including Principal Geotechnical Engineer and Associate Geotechnical Engineer, where responsibilities included site investigation and geotechnical designs of retaining structures. From September 2009 to September 2017, Chao Yang worked as a Research Academic at the Centre of Excellence of Geotechnical Science and Engineering, focusing on the mechanical properties of soft soils and the development of advanced computational models. Earlier in the career, Chao Yang was a Geotechnical Engineer at Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co., Ltd. from July 2008 to September 2009.
