James Herbert is a highly experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in high voltage electrical engineering. Since April 2010, James has held the role of Transmission & Distribution Practice Leader and Senior Electrical Engineer at Aurecon, focusing on design, tendering, inspections, modeling, asset management, and project management across various projects involving substations, transformers, switchyards, and network planning. Prior to this, James worked as an Electrical Engineer at Sinclair Knight Merz from 2008 to 2010, specializing in geothermal steamfield electrical systems, and at Parsons Brinckerhoff from 2003 to 2008, contributing to the Power Networks Group. James holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Physics/Mathematics from the University of Canterbury, earned from 1997 to 2003.
