Joanne Chong

Joanne Chong is a chartered structural engineer with nearly 20 years of experience in the consulting industry, currently serving as the Technical Director and Team Leader for Industrial Structures at Aurecon. Joanne has worked on a wide variety of projects, including transport infrastructures, mining infrastructures, geothermal power plants, and water treatment projects, holding roles such as project manager and lead engineer. Notably, Joanne received the South Australia Young Professional Engineer of the Year award in 2015 for her exceptional leadership and communication skills. Joanne has also contributed to the built environment community through leadership roles with Consult Australia’s FutureNet, where Joanne organized events attracting professionals from diverse sectors. Joanne earned a degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Adelaide.
