Matt Wilkinson

Matt Wilkinson is a Technical Director and National Acoustics Lead at Aurecon since November 2023, previously serving as an Associate in Acoustics and Audiovisual at Arup from July 2005 to June 2023. At Arup, Matt managed acoustic design for high-profile projects in the Los Angeles office, overseeing scopes exceeding $2 million in fees in the last two years, while also mentoring junior staff. Prior to this, Matt worked as an Acoustic and Audiovisual Consultant and Research Assistant at the University of Southampton, completing a PhD focused on the active control of low-frequency buzz-saw tones and engaging with industrial partners at EU project meetings. Matt holds both a PhD and a BEng in Engineering Acoustics and Vibration from the University of Southampton.
