Ray Slaviero has a diverse work experience in the engineering industry. Ray started their career as a Permanent Way Design Engineer at Sinclair Knight Merz in 2006, where they were responsible for the concept and detailed design of the North Strathtfield Rail Underpass project. In 2014, they joined Jacobs as a Permanent Way Engineer, taking on roles such as Design Manager for the Mortdale Maintenance Facility and Area Lead for the Sydney CBD & South East Light Rail Project. In 2017, they moved to Aurecon as a Senior Rail Engineer and took on various roles, including Project Manager for the More Trains More Services Stage 2 project and Design Manager for the 2017 Timetable Power Supply Upgrade project. Ray then progressed to roles such as Associate and Client Leader, Technical Director and Client Leader, and ultimately Principal and Client Leader. Throughout their career, they have gained experience in detailed design, project management, and coordination of various engineering packages.
Ray Slaviero attended Western Sydney University from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained a degree in Civil Engineering (Hons). After completing their degree, they obtained additional certifications including becoming a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Engineers Australia (MIEAust CPEng) in February 2015.
