Ric Darley

Ric Darley is a highly experienced engineering professional with a focus on renewable energy and infrastructure development. Currently serving as Technical Director at Aurecon since July 2018, Ric leads major renewables projects. As Managing Director at Insight Engineering, also since May 2018, Ric has been instrumental in establishing an engineering consulting firm dedicated to supporting energy infrastructure projects, particularly in renewable generation and battery storage. Previous roles include Engineering Manager at Downer, overseeing a large team in substation design, and HV Electrical Manager at Tenix, where Ric led significant projects. Additionally, Ric has held various positions in project development and management at Origin Energy and ETSA Utilities, and has contributed to the development of electricity infrastructure and standards. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the South Australian Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration in Technology Management from La Trobe University.
