Tom Butler

Tom Butler is currently the Energy Practice Leader for Western Australia and the Northern Territory at Aurecon, where they support decarbonization efforts through engineering new energy projects. They have previously held significant roles at the Australian Energy Market Operator and the Clean Energy Council, focusing on energy strategy and renewable energy market integration. Tom's earlier experience includes working as a qualified electrician in commercial construction and as a Renewable Energy/Electrical Design Engineer at Senergy Econnect, where they developed expertise in power systems engineering and grid integration. They hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Power Systems Engineering and Renewable Energy Engineering from Murdoch University and are pursuing a Master's in Business Administration at Deakin University.
