Vinno Balakumarasingham is a highly skilled civil engineer with extensive experience in tunnelling and structural engineering. Currently serving as the Lead Engineer for Tunnelling at Aurecon since January 2023, Vinno focuses on the detailed design of the Western Harbour Tunnel Segmental Lining and cross passage permanent support. Prior roles include Structural Engineer at Tonkin + Taylor, where responsibilities encompassed seismic design and strengthening of waterfront structures, and Tunnel Engineer at Link Alliance, contributing to the design of primary and secondary linings for multiple tunnels. With earlier positions as Senior Engineer and Design Engineer at Waterman Group and AECOM, respectively, Vinno has managed various projects from road widening to significant tunnel initiatives. Vinno holds a Master of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London and has a foundation in martial arts education from Julian Hitch Martial Arts Schools of Excellence.
