Peter Amerl

Peter Amerl is a Chief Scientist at Aurizn since 2019, where they focus on developing new measurement techniques, Continuous Improvement, and Project Management. Prior to this role, they served as Chief Scientist at elmTEK Pty Ltd from 2019 to 2023 and worked as an R&D Physicist at Thermo Fisher Scientific from 2007 to 2019. Peter's research experience includes developing and characterizing space borne ionospheric sensors during their tenure as a Research Associate at the University of Calgary's Institute for Space Research from 1999 to 2007. They hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from the University of Calgary, earned in 1998.
