Erin Higgins

Erin Higgins has a diverse work experience across multiple industries. Erin is currently working as an Engineering Lead at Auror since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Auror from March 2022 to June 2023. Before joining Auror, Erin worked at Bank of New Zealand as a Senior Developer from July 2020 to March 2022 and as a .Net Developer on contract from July 2018 to July 2020. Erin also has experience as a Contract Software Developer at NZRB with Practium Consulting from September 2017 to July 2018. Earlier in their career, Erin worked as a Development Specialist at Equinox IT from April 2013 to September 2017, as a Freelance Cryptic Crossword Compiler at The Puzzle Company in 2014, and as a Software Developer at New Zealand Defence Force from July 2012 to April 2013. Their work experience also includes being a Software Developer at FNZ from October 2008 to July 2012 and a Mathematics Tutor at The University of Auckland from July 2008 to October 2008. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Hahn-Meitner Institut from April 2007 to February 2008.

Erin Higgins completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Mathematics from The University of Auckland from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, Erin earned a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Mathematics and Computer Science from The University of Auckland, graduating in 2003.
