Andrew Tan

Andrew Tan is a Senior Systems Engineer at Aurora since September 2023, with previous experience as a Vehicle Systems Test Engineer at Waymo from September 2018 to May 2023. At Waymo, Andrew was instrumental in verifying and validating the Chrysler Pacifica and Jaguar I-Pace platforms, defining operational capabilities, managing daily verification tests for critical safety features, and coordinating multi-vehicle test campaigns. Prior to Waymo, Andrew worked as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer at Cornell University Micro-Gravity, where research focused on living conditions on Europa, and completed internships at the Naval Surface Warfare Center and Credence ID, developing energy-harvesting systems and mobile biometric devices. Andrew holds a Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.
